"Distrust" is a triptych created through embroidery with red threads on large canvases. The series tells the story of betrayal and further distrust to the world.
The artworks depict a figure of a woman, crafted through embroidery. Meticulously stitched red threads form the contours of her body and express its details: hands, legs, and hair. The embroidered figure of the woman features unpredictable and entangled lines, reflecting the psychological complexity of distrust. The shapeless body in the works is imprisoned in the boundaries of fear and distrust. The burns on the body, like traumatic memories, heal slowly and painfully. The embroidery creates an impression of mixed emotions and tangled thoughts, while symbolically emphasizing the intricate nature of distrust. The color of the red threads holds deep significance in this artwork. Red symbolizes strong emotions, including fear, danger, and distrust. This vibrant color draws the viewer's attention and conveys the inner tension and conflict associated with distrust. The works are placed in the museum's garden and resemble hanging laundry. The red threads fall on the grass, and the paintings blow in the wind. From now, the works live their own lives. Let go of everything. Just because trust begins when you let go the borders and keep living in spite of fear.
