"Distrust" is created through embroidery with red threads on large canvases. The series Distrust tells the story of betrayal and further distrust to the world.
The artworks depict a figure of a woman, crafted through embroidery. The shapeless body in the works is imprisoned in the boundaries of fear and distrust. The burns on the body, like traumatic memories, heal slowly and painfully. Red symbolises strong emotions, including fear, danger, and distrust. This vibrant color draws the viewer's attention and conveys the inner tension and conflict associated with distrust. The works were placed in the garden of Kleist Museum in Frankfurt Oder at the Chroniken des Verrats. The triptych resembled hanging laundry. The red threads fall on the grass, and the paintings blow in the wind. From now the artworks live their own lives. Let go of everything. Just because trust begins when you let go of the borders and keep living in spite of fear.
